VILLIAN PRESS featuring Jason McMaster delivers a kick you in the teeth, hard rock & roll experience

2022 marks the 40th anniversary of the song that catapulted Judas Priest into the American mainstream. To honor this watershed moment in rock and roll, Villain Press, will release a powerful rendition of the classic song on November 29.

Villain Press was first assembled by bassist and host of The Rock N Roll & Coffee Show podcast, Joe Scibilia (Last Great Hope; Big Machine). “I wanted to get a few friends together and pay homage to a band and a song that heavily influenced the beginning of my career.”

Scibilia called upon Dangerous Toys front man, Jason McMaster, to provide the vocals. “Jason has a powerful rock and roll voice. He seemed like a natural to take on Rob Halford’s vocals.”

With McMaster in place, Scibilia was pleased to add musician/producer Adam Hamilton (LA Guns) on drums, and Jason Frankhouser (Martyred; Buried in Fire) on guitars.

Golden Robot/X Ray Records will oversee the release on 11/29.

Encouraged by momentum around the single, Scibilia decided to also record original songs with Villain Press. “I’ve had a few songs and good ideas floating around my head for years,” recalls Scibilia, “And once our project was in place, I figured it was the right time to strike while the iron is hot.”

To help out on guitars, McMaster brought in fellow Dangerous Toys band mate and Dirty Looks guitarist, Paul Lidel. Lidel will provide the licks on the EP, set to release in 2023.
