'Scars Tattooed on the Stage' is the 2nd full length album by Sizter Machyne. Featuring a variety of songs stretching the band's hard rock foundation, this album is the Machyne's most powerful release to date. Recorded beginning in 2007, shelved and brought back to light in 2017 to be finished and mixed, 'Scars Tattooed on the Stage' revitalized the band's sound and focused their direction on the future. The album has received positive acclaim from many musical outlets and continues to grow Sizter Machyne's fan-base on a daily basis.
Originally hailing from Montgomery, Alabama guitarist and singer Chrys Rhodes lived all over the southeast and midwestern parts of the country, cutting his musical teeth in multiple bands and genres. However in 2002 that passion combined with the frustrating revolving door of bands, gave birth to the first Sizter Machyne album, 'Force of Habit'. This was the fruition of Chrys' anti-band vision. By 2003, Rhodes was ready to build a band around this project, and with the help of drummer Tony Lobertini, and bassist Jade 'Blizzy' Boston, the band would re-present itself by 2004.
That first year, Sizter Machyne performed anywhere that would let them through the doors! This included the bar/club scene throughout Dayton and Cincinnati, Ohio areas, but also Indianapolis, IN. In 2004 they performed at Woodshock on the main stage with Mastodon and Fear Factory! Sizter Machyne continued to write and perform for the next 5 years until unforseen events took their bassist out of the picture, leaving the band on hiatus for the next 8 years. In 2017, the Epilepsy Foundation of Western Ohio reached out to the band asking them to perform for their annual mud volleyball fundraiser event. This rekindled the spark and Sizter Machyne has been back at it every since.
After hundreds of shows and a few lineup changes, Sizter Machyne has been focused on fewer shows, with higher quality. Showcasing their uniqueness and range of abilities, this garnered more attention for the band and presented them with more opportunities to play with more national acts. Since the beginning of 2019, Sizter Machyne has shared the stage with national and international acts including: Yngwie Malmsteen, Buckcherry, Bulletboys, Saliva, Hinder, Tantric, Enuff Z'nuff, Faster Pussycat, L.A. Guns, and more!
Currently, the album is receiving positive reviews and is reaching many different countries by way of Spotify, Amazon, CD Baby, etc... Sizter Machyne hasn't slowed down in the slightest, and are in the process of writing new material to continue bringing their unique sound and style to anyone and everyone around the world.
