NAGUAL release latest album "A Glass Full of Karma"


Nagual is a Rock Band originating from the province of Piacenza (Italy) in activity since 2006. It is composed of 5 musicians that have been around the Piacenza and Pavia rock scene for many years. Nagual proposes original songs and 70/80/90s rock covers “A Glass Full of Karma” is the title of our second album (our third studio work if we’re counting the acoustic episode of “Naked Roots” in 2018).

The album is composed of 8 songs for a length of about 45 minutes, It has been produced by Nagual and Alberto Callegari, who recorded and engineered it at Elfo Studio (Piacenza, Italy). A Nagual, according to Aztec mythology, was a totemic spirit. Nagual is also a term used in the books of Carlos Castaneda, to describe a person who is able to guide others towards new areas of perception. The Nagual is the Shaman, the benefactor of apprentices, a guide to total freedom.

BIO: The band was formed in Spring 2006. Original line-up: Luca Sabia (Vocals & Guitars), Vittorio Dodi (Guitar), Massimiliano Fulgosi (Bass e Backing Vocals). Carlo Cantore (Drums) Their live debut, with a proposal of 70s British/American rock covers and Grunge anthems, happens in January 2007. February 2007 – Nagual publishes a demo CD “Live Session 2007” with cover songs recorded at Elfo Studio in Tavernago (PC)

Spring 2007 – Soon after the band returns to Elfo Studio to record their contribution to “Sgt Peppers 1967-2007”, a Beatles Tribute compilation from the bands of Piacenza with their version of the song "Good Morning, Good Morning". March 2007 – Claudio Bianchi replaces Cantore on Drums.

November 2008 – The band begins writing their own material… “Dreaming Soul Mate” is born.

February 2009 – First sessions in the recording studio (Elfo Studio) where the early versions of “Dreaming Soul Mate”, “Words for the Wind” and “My Own Two Demons” are recorded.

October 2010 – Giulio Armanetti (Zebra Fink, Massmoka, Black Rose) replaces Fulgosi on Bass. Keyboard player Samuele Polenghi joins the group.

Spring 2013 – Samuele Polenghi leaves the band which returns to a 4-piece line-up.

Autumn 2014 – Nagual enters the recording studio to start working on their debut album which will be produced by the Band and Alberto Callegari (Elfo Studio).

May 2016 – Nagual opens a concert for Ian Paice (Deep Purple) and Matt Filippini at Cinema Teatro Capitol in Borgonovo Val Tidone with a set of original songs from the new album in the making.

December 2016 – The Band films the video of its single, LET IT GO, directed by Finnish filmmaker Teemu Nikki (Playgod, 3Simoa, Lovemilla). February 2017 – Publication of the album “TAT TVAM ASI” and the video “Let It Go”. Giugno 2017 – The official line-up is completed with the arrival of G. Fabrizio Defacqz (Keyboards & Vocal)

July 2018 – “NAKED ROOTS” is published, a live EP recorded at Elfo Studio featuring new acoustic versions of “My Own Two Demons” and “Let It Go” plus an unplugged revisited take of “Child of Babylon” (Whitesnake) and “Diamonds and Rust” (Joan Baez). On this occasion the official videoclip of “My Own Two Demons” will also be published.

March 2019 – The Band starts recording the new album at Elfo Studio.

December 2019 – The new single and video “Above the Clouds” is published.

March 2020 – Publication of the new album “A GLASS FULL OF KARMA” for OrzoRock Music label.
