Revolution Saints "Rise" : Album Review

Featuring none other than Deen Castronovo (The Dead Daisies, ex-Journey, Bad English), Doug Aldrich (The Dead Daisies, Burning Rain, ex-Whitesnake, DIO), and Jack Blades (Night Ranger), Revolution Saints have now completed their incredible third album, “Rise”. As with the first two well-received albums, Revolution Saints are bringing back the classic melodic rock style that thrilled and delighted legions of fans in the ‘80s and ‘90s and still does today! Inspiring, uplifting vocals, soaring melodies, and musicianship to die for is what you get in spades here.

If you've had a chance to listen to either of the first two offerings from Revolution Saints, then you know exactly what you're gonna get with "Rise" top-notch songwriting, performances, and top of the line production. With a cast of musicians as talented and experienced as this, it's all but a given. What makes Revolution Saints stand out among some of the other "Super Groups" is the songwriting is always on point and makes you feel like you're discovering a long lost album from one of your favorite 70's or 80's bands like Journey, Styx or Night Ranger.

There's a whole host of gems here, including the lead-off track "When the Heartache has Gone", "Coming Home", 'Higher", "Talk to Me" and the beautiful ballad "Eyes of a Child".

Throughout "Rise" Deen Castronovo shows off not only his amazing and well-known drum prowess but also showcases an amazing vocal range that just like his former band Journey seems to pull at all the right strings. And as always no matter the project Doug Aldrich if pure fire. Throw in the legendary songwriter, performer Jack Blades on bass and vocals and what you have a perfect slab of classic rock n roll.
