HARDLAND Releases New Album 'In Control'

'In Control’ is the title of the sophomore album from the Dutch rockband Hardland. Even more than on the self-titled debut that was released in 2017, the band has succeeded in forging its own sound from very different influences. From heavy rock, AOR, 80's wave to accessible (power) pop, with a particular love for music from the seventies and eighties. It is further underlined with the cover Are ‘Friends’ Electric, a big hit in 1979 for the British synthesizer band Tubeway Army. Furthermore, In Control contains original work written by the band themselves: tough rock songs, alternated with a single ballad. Just like on the debut, nothing was left to chance. Mastering engineer Sean Magee once again unleashed his magic at the Abbey Road Studio in London. The artwork of In Control, done by Frans Mensink, looks very professional again and fits perfectly with the atmosphere of the music. Available on all your favorite streaming and downloading services and on physical CD. Influences for the album: Rage Against The Machine, Dream Theater, Deep Purple, The Who, Tubeway Army, Marilyn Manson. Track Suggestions: Dazzled By The Presence Of Love Rise And Shine The Nation’s Biggest Enemies Pleasure And Pain Love Love Love. BIO: Formed in 2015, Hardland rose out of the need to create music that was hardly heared on the radio anymore, good old seventies and eighties melodic hard rock. Classic rock radio is stuck in playing yesterdays hits, never looking for ‘new’ blood. Many of the greats are gone or doing their so maniest ‘final’ goodbye tour. It’s time for new blood! Hardland is ready to give all those people who love great seventies and eighties rock just that, in a modern day production. "In Control" is the title of the second album from Dutch rockers Hardland. Released on August 9, 2019 by LO41 Records. Even more than on the self-titled debut that was released in 2017, the band has succeeded in forging its own sound from very different influences. From heavy rock, AOR, 80's wave to accessible (power) pop, with a particular love for music from the seventies and eighties. It is further underlined with the cover Are Friends Electric, a big hit in 1979 for the British synthesizer band Tubeway Army. Furthermore, "In Control" contains original work from the band: tough rock songs, interspersed with a single ballad. The CD was preceded on May 18 by the single The Nation’s Biggest Enemies, which also opens the new album. The song was immediately picked up by Rock Rage Radio, one of the largest rock stations in America. The spit-out lyrics had not been out of place in a song from Rage Against The Machine - which once again shows how wide the sound of Hardland is. Line-up: Aeilko Venema – vocal/lead guitar Paul Evers – vocal/rhythm guitar Remi Riegel – bass/backing vocal Marco Kuiper – Keyboards/vocals Eric Gijsen – drums
