Evol Walks releases new video for ‘The Fire’
Los Angeles based hard rock act Evol Walks is premiering their brand new video for the track “The Fire” and The Rockpit is excited to exclusively give you a glimpse at the scorching song and clip.
The track comes off their newly releaesed EP “Our Time Is Now” which came out in January and currently available on Spotify & iTunes now.
With a healthy chunk of attitude, a dynamite lead singer, and a predilection for time-honoured rock ‘n’ roll, Evol Walks has rapidly emerged as a heavyweight contender.
Originally forming on the Gold Coast (QLD) in 2014 and now based in Los Angeles, Evol Walks has bagged an EP, earned plaudits from artists and fans around the world, and played across three Continents. And there’s much more to come.
The next chapter begins with the imminent release of their EP aptly titled ‘Our Time Is Now’.
“I am so excited to finally be sharing this release,” says singer Leah Martin-Brown. “This collection of songs features some big international co-writes with Jake Pitts from Black Veil Brides and Travis Miguel and Dan Jacobs from Atreyu. The Fire is co-written with our very own Tim Henwood from the Superjesus and Palace of the King. I was very lucky to be given the opportunity to work with them and I think that really helped bring out the best in each song.”
Produced by Erik Ron (Godsmack, Sylar, Slaves, Motionless in White) and featuring killer guitar work from Kevin Thrasher of Escape The Fate, ‘Our Time Is Now’ is full of energy and, quite simply, rock ‘n’ roll at its finest.
The title track of the EP – released in November and already garnering wide-spread attention – was co-written by Jake Pitts which was a dream collaboration for Leah. “Both of us were discussing the current political climate,” Leah recalls. “Not just in the USA but worldwide, and we realized that we wanted to write a song that could be our generation’s anthem. A song that could unify us and help us express the frustration we were feeling.”
Evol Walks’ hard edge takes its inspiration from the giants of heavy music, from AC/DC to Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Joan Jett, Stone Sour and MonsterMagnet, and gives it a modern tweak.
