Ozzy Osbourne hospitalised due to flu complications

Ozzy Osbourne has been admitted to hospital due to complications from his flu.

The Black Sabbath legend’s wife and manager, Sharon Osbourne, gave an update on Ozzy’s health last night (6th February) telling her Twitter followers: “As some of you may have heard, Ozzy was admitted to hospital following some complications from the flu.

“His doctors feel this is the best way to get him on a quicker road to recovery. Thanks to everyone for their concern and love.”

According to celebrity gossip site The Blast, Ozzy checked into Keck Hospital of University of Southern California on Monday (4th February). Sharon reportedly missed Tuesday's episode of her TV show 'The Talk' so that she could be with Ozzy.

70-year-old Ozzy was forced to postpone the entire UK and European leg of his No More Tours 2 tour last week due to flu and severe bronchitis.

Due to his severe upper-respiratory infection, doctors warned Ozzy that he risked developing pneumonia if he hit the road.

Apologising to fans for the tour postponement, Ozzy said: “I’m completely devastated for having to postpone the European leg of my tour. It just seems that since October everything I touch has turned to s***.

“First the staph infection in my thumb and now coming down with the flu and bronchitis. I want to apologize to all of my fans who have been so loyal over the years, my band, my crew and to Judas Priest for letting you all down.

“However, I promise the tour with Judas Priest will be completed. It’s being rescheduled right now to start in September. Again, I apologize to everyone. God Bless. Love you all, Ozzy.”

Last October Ozzy was hospitalised with three potentially deadly staph infections in his right hand, which forced him to postpone the final four dates of his US tour.
