Rear Naked Choke was formed in 2009 in Abilene Texas. Though it all started when a few friends got together to just jam and have a little fun it soon became obvious that there was something special going on. It didn't take long for the ideas to start flowing and songs began taking form. After a few member shuffles the band solidified and things really started to move forward for the band.Through their own brand of Heavy Rock n Roll and high energy live performances they began gaining notice in the local music scene. That attention has gotten them the opportunities to play with National and Regional bands such as Nothing More, Saliva, Tantric, The Devil You Know, Texas Hippy Coalition, Messer and more. They recently released their full length Self Titled album, produced by CJ Pierce of Drowning Pool, and have been hitting the road in support of the album.While RNC has their own style and sound and don't attempt to emulate or fit into a mold, fans of music in the vein of Metallica, Clutch, Godsmack, Pantera, Five Finger Death Punch, Down etc... will more than likely enjoy the music of Rear Naked Choke.Member
