ROUND 1: Skid Row vs Cinderella

Saw the debut self titled album from Skid Row take down the boys from Philly, Cinderella and their debut album "Night Song" by a large margin.

ROUND 2: Skid Row vs Motley Crue

Skid Row falls in round two in a close battle to the Sunset Strip kings Motley Crue and their killer debut "Too Fast For Love". Up next for the new reigning champs is the debut from the boys from Boston Aerosmith.

ROUND 3: Motley Crue vs Aerosmith

Well in round 3 Motley Crue beat the boys in Aerosmith like a bunch of "Ragdolls" and sent them home to Boston "Cryin'".

Up next the self proclaimed Glam Slam Kings of Metal...... Poison! Round 4 sees their debut album "Look What The Cat Dragged In" take on the reigning champ "Too Fast For Love". Back in the day Poison plastered the sunset strip with more flyers than almost every other band combined, all that hard work eventually paid off getting the band signed and in the process becoming Mtv darlings. Two of the biggest success stories from the sunset strip. Pick your Poison .....or Crue - HBH

ROUND 4: MOTLEY CRUE vs POISON

Round 4 saw Motley Crue take out the debut album from Poison. The guys in Poison kept in close, but in the end they proved to be just another stepping stone for the Crue.

Up next a band that was slithering around the gutters of the Sunset Strip round about the same time as Motley........Ratt!Now we know that Ratt had released an Ep in in 1983, but it wasn't until 1984 when the band dropped their first full length debut album "Out of the Cellar" that the band joined Motley Crue in ruling the airwaves with the smash hit "Round and Round". Judge for yourself....who had the better debut album?

ROUND 5: MOTLEY CRUE vs RATT

Round 4 saw the Motley bunch send the boys in Ratt scurrying back into the cellar with their tails firmly tucked between their legs. Taking out "Out of the Cellar" by snagging 61% of the votes.

Up next the Godfathers of metal, the masters of the riff BLACK SABBATH! Lead by the original madman Ozzy Osbourne and the iconic guitarist Tony Iommi.

ROUND 6: MOTLEY CRUE vs BLACK SABBATH

Motley Crue won again by a large margin in round five. Taking out the Godfathers of metal Black Sabbath with 66% of the vote.

Up next the debut solo album from Ozzy Osbourne "Blizzard of Ozz" the album that introduced most of the world to the late great Randy Rhoads. While Randy Rhoads had released two ( Japan only ) albums prior to this with Quiet Riot for the most part if you didn't live in Hollywood this was your first introduction to the legend that is Randy Rhoads.

ROUND 7: MOTLEY CRUE vs OZZY

The kings of the Sunset Strip finally meet their match. Ozzy Osbourne and the Blizzard of Ozz send the bad boys from L.A. packing and their reign at the top has come to an end. After an impressive run that saw the band defeat debut albums from Skid Row, Poison, Aerosmith, Ratt and Black Sabbath the Madman of metal Ozzy and guitarist extraordinaire Randy Rhoads proved to be just a bit much for the Crue to take.

Up next the debut album from Tesla "Mechanical Resonance" released in 1986 the band set out from the beginning to bring you no frills ass kicking rock n roll! Their lead off single "Modern Day Cowboy" was a straight kick to the teeth rocker that set the stage for many years to come. The duel guitar threat of Tommy Skeoch and Frank Hannon plus the raspy soulfull sound of Jeff Keith help set this band apart from many of their contemporaries.
