The New Wave Of Hair Metal Weekend News Report June 23, 2018

Greetings and welcome to another weekend of hair raising news in the genre of modern hair/sleaze/glam metal. Happy Midsummer to those of you in countries that are celebrating it this weekend.

The top story this week goes to 🇸🇪Lipz🇸🇪. They filled their bass spot with Chris Y! Many of you know Chris from when he played guitar in Blackout Express as well as his other project Midnight Danger. This is a great match up for Lipz. They found the right guy. And I expect the gigs to start rolling in soon. The debut album "Scaryman" is doing well for them and the reviews are all positive. I own the album and I promise you that it's HOT! Go order your copy now!

The 🇩🇪Kissin' Dynamite🇩🇪 limited edition boxset including the biography "A Road Paved With Gold", a bandana, and other items is already sold out at EMP. So get it on Amazon while you can. Another thing that sold out: their November 9th concert in Munich. The band is now playing at a bigger venue to accommodate a larger crowd. And speaking of gigs, they were played at the Alpen Flair Sudtirol yesterday.

🇨🇦Dextress🇨🇦 opened up for Sebastian Bach on the 20th. The members got to meet and hang out with Sebastian and get pictures with him. As many of you know, Sebastian has always been a huge supporter of young bands, so let's hope he gets addicted to the Dextress album.

🇱🇻Bloody Heels🇱🇻 have a few HUGE shows coming up. The first is on June 29th at the Rokkafejnica in Riga followed by their trip to Scandinavia to play at the Pub Anchor in Sweden on July 5th, then off to Norway for the Norway Rock Festival on July 7th.

🇮🇹Sandness🇮🇹 made this announcement on June 21st:

"Ten years ago today we first appeared in public as a band.

As we approached our first gig, we had no idea what we were getting ourselves into. The project grew over the years and we grew with it, enjoying the good times and dealing with the bad times.

We published two albums, toured Europe several times, played in front of huge audiences, ran out of merchandise, shared the stage with great bands, got stuck in the middle of nowhere with our van, carried our gear for miles under the burning sun, went on the radio, shipped our merch to every continent, spent hours photo- and videoshooting, wrote dozens of lyrics and tossed half of them, met hundreds of people from everywhere in the world, shared hundreds of drinks, forgot our lines, laughed so hard we couldn't breathe, cried on each other's shoulder and cheered each other up.

What makes us proud of what we have become is that we went through all of this not only as a band, not only as a team, but as FRIENDS. We have known each other for so long now, we just can't imagine a future where we are not together as bandmates, as brothers.

We have been a bit quiet lately, as you may have noticed, but there is nothing to worry about. We are alive and kicking.

And this is probably the best time to announce that we will soon be in the studio to start recording the demo tracks of our third album, which is coming out absolutely mindblowing. We are super excited and we can't wait to play the new stuff live, so hopefully the recording process won't take too long and next year we will be celebrating our 11th anniversary with a copy of the new album already in our hands.

Of course non of this would have been possible without all the people who support us day by day. Some have been by our side since day one, others joined along the way, but the Sandness family keeps growing and we couldn't be any prouder. So THANKS to each and every one of you for believing in us and making us feel loved. We love you too.

🇸🇪Crazy Lixx🇸🇪 are back in action on July 13th as the Just Ruffness tour continues in Balingen, Germany. 🇳🇴The Cruel Intentions🇳🇴 frontman/leader, Lizzy DeVine is celebrating his birthday today! 🇸🇪Eclipse🇸🇪 are playing the Rockfest Barcelona on July 5th, as well as 🇸🇪H.E.A.T.🇸🇪. But first H.E.A.T. will be at the Chania Festival on June 30th. 🇳🇴NiteRain🇳🇴 will be at the Cruefest at the Whisky in L.A. on July 28th.

Melodic Rock records has just released the new 🇫🇮Rust N' Rage🇫🇮 album "Tales From The Wasteland". 🇫🇮Shiraz Lane🇫🇮 have released a "making of" video for their second album "Cardinal Days".
