Drama Queen 'Drama Queen' Album Review
Packed with slamming hooks and whisper to a roar vocals, this well-conceived debut from Rockford, IL own Drama Queen, has a little bit of everything part AOR, part Sleaze Metal, part straight-ahead rock n roll.
Tons and tons of spirit and body/mind-moving energy is coming out of this album. You start playing it and you don’t even realize when the surroundings have turned into a huge arena and you are in the middle of a mind-blowing concert, your hands are up in the air and you’re jamming your ass off! I've always loved albums that can take you away, and “Drama Queen” is most certainly an album that can do that, right from the very beginning. It’s the massive hooks and the presence of sing-along rock anthems and guitars that bring it all home.
Some of the highlights from "Drama Queen";“Welcome to the Party” is an absolute favorite of mine and the reason why this album turned into a highlight for me. Looking for a song to play as loud as possible? Look no more, this is the song for you. With those riffs, up-beat vibe and captivating vocals, you just can’t have it any other way. “Stop Me From Crying” is a slow tempo track, that progresses into a gorgeous ballad, fueled with emotions, courtesy of vocalist Tee Sing. “We're On Fire” brings you back to reality with a strong hard rock slap. To me, it’s one of the most dynamic and heavy-pounding songs of the album; the placement is quite on point too.“You're Goin Down Tonight” is another great rocker on “Drama Queen”.
Final verdict: “Drama Queen” is full of life, character and energy! It has it all – ballads, mid-tempo rockers and hard-rocking tracks that totally deserve to be played and enjoyed at a high volume!

DRAMA QUEEN is an all-original commercial Hard Rock band out of Rockford, IL. The band recently recruited Jim Michelsen, Tara Sheetz and J-Ro Rostamo in February 2018. They are currently preparing for live performances and the summer festival season.
