The Lazys New Album 'Tropical Hazards' out May 4th

March 21, 2018

The Lazy's are set to release their new album, Tropical Hazards, available for pre-order, out on May 4th via Golden Robot Records on digital, CD and vinyl.

At the same time, the band have announced their European tour dates in support of the album release with a run of 6 dates locked in across Germany kicking off in Stuttgart on May 29 and finishing in Frankfurt five days later, plus shows in Amsterdam and London in early June.

Tropical Hazards is a high-octane, hell-raising rock ‘n roll riot, written in Canada, where the band now resides, and Australia (where they’re originally from) throughout 2017 with Ian D’Sa (Billy Talent) and produced by D’Sa and Eric Ratz (Big Wreck, Danko Jones, Monster Truck).  It resulted in a 10-track album that’s unabashedly outrageous, packed with classic songs about wild nights, pretty girls, heartbreak, and resilience, and picking up where The Lazys left off in 2015 with their Top 10 Canadian singles, Shake It Like You Mean It and Black Rebel, with the first single from Tropical Hazards, Nothing But Troublecurrently sitting at #13 and on the rise.

Having recently relocated to Toronto full-time, the band can certainly be considered honorary Canadians. And the journey that began 10 years ago in Australia is still just getting started. Says Matty, “Since the early days, being in a rock band is all we’ve ever wanted to do. We’ve shown how much love we can offer to people if they give us a chance and Canada has done that for us. It’s kind of insane when we think about all that support. But now it’s time to show the world.”

And show the world they will, as they take their rowdy, high-energy shows out on the road in support of Tropical Hazards – watch out!
