Here we go again with another wild week of news in the genre of modern hair metal! We are loaded with top stories this week. Which will make the quick bits section much smaller than what it normally is.
The week kicked off with the awards for the January video/single of the month countdown. We had a delay because 🇫🇮Shiraz Lane🇫🇮 and Aerodyne were deadlocked for a tie at the #3 position. This was the second month in a row where we've had a tie at that exact spot. 🇫🇮Shiraz Lane🇫🇮 won by two votes in the tie breaker countdown for their video "People Like Us". 🇨🇿Bad Jokers Cream🇨🇿 came in second for their video "Perfect Deal", and 🇬🇧Midnite City🇬🇧 came in first for their lyric video of "One Step Away". It was another exciting and unpredictable countdown. And for those that are keeping track,
🇱🇻Bloody Heels🇱🇻 still hold the record for the most votes received in a countdown for their already legendary video "Cheap Little Liar" that has been standing since May of 2017. The countdown takes place every month. We hope to see you vote in the next one as well.
Now that January is officially behind us, February is already off to a bang! February 23rd is a key date to remember this month. 🇸🇪Hardcore Superstar🇸🇪 will have a new single out titled "Bring The House Down". This will be the second single from their up coming album. And 🇫🇮Shiraz Lane🇫🇮 will be releasing their sophmore album "Carnival Days" on that date as well. They will be holding their pre-listening party for Carnival Days at the Riff in Helsinki. They will also be doing an acoustic show. The excitement begins at 6:00 pm!
🇸🇪H.E.A.T.🇸🇪 didn't end up winning the Swedish Grammi for hard rock/heavy metal album of 2017, held on February 8th at the Grand Hotel in Stockholm. But that isn't stopping them. They'll be hitting Tokyo on February 16th to play the Quattro Shibuya Club.
🇨🇦Love Razer🇨🇦 finally announced the title of their debut album and it's release date. "Border City Angels" will be available on April 23, 2018! The release party will be held at the Rockstar Music Hall in Windsor, Ontario.
🇸🇪Lipz🇸🇪 have signed with Street Symphonies Records & Burning Minds Music Group! They'll be putting out their debut LP this year. Be on the lookout for a new video from them as well.
There are two new video's to check out that came out these past few day's. On Friday, 🇦🇷Gunner🇦🇷 released an acoustic version of "One Look". It was filmed at the Hard Rock Cafe in Buenos Aires.
And the new 🇨🇿Nasty Ratz🇨🇿 video "Poetic Justice" came out today. The Ratz have beefed up their sound and it's a little darker this time around. Both video's will be featured in the February video/single countdown. Which now brings us to a total of four videos so far in this month with 🇳🇴NiteRain🇳🇴 and 🇮🇹Cream Pie🇮🇹 also in the mix.
🇫🇮Reckless Love🇫🇮 mega-star, Olli Herman, was the guest DJ at the Praha Bar in Helsinki, tonight. His friend and bandmate in 🇫🇮The Local Band🇫🇮 (Archie Cruz) was the guest DJ two nights ago. Two star studded guests in one week! If you're in that area, stop in there more often!
HITC - The Graphic Novel from 🇮🇹Hell In The Club🇮🇹 frontman Davide Moras is set to come out. It's an 88 page book about true events in the rock n' roll underground and the dark side of it. The book was illustrated by Simona Valentina Tornabene. The book should be out in late February on ebook and in printed versions.
A member of the hair metal family has left this world.
Drummer Pat Torpey of Mr. Big had passed away on February 7th due to complications from Parkinson's disease. Our condolences go out to his loved one's.
The New Wave of Hair Metal Page : There is a few changes here. Assistant Admin Tim and Admin Abishen have both left the page. They haven't had time to post over the last few months because of their busy schedules. I thank them for all of their efforts. Nothing will change on the Facebook page, but the Instagram page will be temporarily inactive.

Head to their Facebook page to find out how to enter. 🇨🇦Sleazy Way Out🇨🇦 will be playing at the Piranha on February 24th with Playhouses and The Glock Rebels. 🇺🇸Steel Panther🇺🇸 will bring their Lower The Bar tour to Barcelona tomorrow night (February 11). 🇺🇸WICKED🇺🇸 will be playing their first show of 2018 on February 24th at the Oneida American Legion. This will be their debut concert in their new stage outfits.
Northern Europe (Nordic countries):
The Scandinavian and Nordic countries were very quiet this week. This is normally the largest section. 🇸🇪Confess🇸🇪 were featured in Burrn! magazine. 🇸🇪Eclipse🇸🇪 will take their Monumentum
tour to Pakkahuone, Finland on February 10th. One Desire and Brother Firetribe will be opening for them. 🇫🇮Santa Cruz🇫🇮 will be playing at the Kultuuriareena 44 in Kuopio, Finland tonight. 🇫🇮Temple Balls🇫🇮 played at the 45 Special last night. Tonight they're in Hullu Porock at the Hullu Poro Arena.
United Kingdom (UK) and Ireland:
🇬🇧DAMN DICE🇬🇧 will be playing their album wrap up show at The Lounge Promotion-Nightclub Kolis on February 17th.
🇬🇧Maverick🇬🇧 sent the vinyl version of their up coming album "Cold Star Dancer" into production this week. 🇬🇧Midnite City🇬🇧 played at the Academy 3 last night when they opened for the Blood Red Saints. 🇬🇧Nasty High🇬🇧 will be playing at the Sanctuary Burnley in Lancashire tonight.
Western Europe:
🇫🇷Gorgeous🇫🇷 are playing at Mc Daids tonight. They'll hit the stage at the Blues Bar on Valentine's Day for a rockin' night. 🇩🇪Night Lazer🇩🇪 will be at the Heathen Rock Festival on the 24th. 🇨🇭Rusted Guns🇨🇭 are playing at the Blues Beiz in Niederbipp tonight. 🇫🇷Sadhayena🇫🇷 are proud to announce that they are sponsored by Diamond Dust. 🇩🇪Snakebite🇩🇪 spent last weekend shooting their next video for the song "Beyond The Rust". 🇧🇪Wildheart🇧🇪 played the Rockmantic stage 9 last night at the Brickyard.
Eastern Europe, and European Russia:
🇱🇻Bloody Heels🇱🇻 headed back to Tim's Mints in Riga on the 8th where they did an acoustic set. 🇨🇿Double Raw🇨🇿 headed back to rehearsal this week. They've been working and re-working songs. Bassist Nikki Allin was pictured playing a guitar. Could the next single have a few guitar parts played by Nikki? The 🇨🇿Hairy Groupies🇨🇿 will be apart of the "female fronted rock night" at the m13 klub in Brno on Friday April 27th.
🇷🇺Stripped Guns🇷🇺 have their first EP coming out soon! It will be titled "Wild At Heart". 🇨🇿Sweet Leopard🇨🇿 played the Bikers Party in Prague on the 3rd.
Mediterranean:
🇮🇹17Crash🇮🇹 are filming their first promotional video for their up coming album "Hit The Prey" on February 11th at the Exenzia Der Club in Prato, Italy. 🇮🇹Cream Pie🇮🇹 will be playing with 🇮🇹Jolly Rox🇮🇹 on February 16th at the Rock N' Roll Club Rho. Jolly Rox will be introducing their new drummer soon.🇮🇹Speed Stroke🇮🇹 will be playing at the Rock N' Roll club as well. Catch them there on the 24th. 🇪🇸Erotic Psycho🇪🇸 are hitting the stage at the Peter Rock club on the 24th. 🇪🇸Street Vipers🇪🇸 will be playing with 🇪🇸Jolly Joker🇪🇸 on February 16th in Cantabria.

🇮🇳Girish And The Chronicles🇮🇳 are shooting a video right now. 🇿🇦L.A. Cobra🇿🇦 are making their first trip ever to the United States! It'll be for one night at the Rock N' Skull 18 festival taking place on October 26th at Persies in Creve Coeur, Illinois.
