Through Janie's Fund, Steven Tyler Raises $2.4 Million for Victims of Abuse
On Sunday night (1/28), Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler raised an impressive $2.4 million for victims of abuse, Forbes reports.
The money was raised during the inaugural gala to benefit Tyler’s organization Janie’s Fund, which seeks to provide support and give a voice to abused young girls.
At the close of 2017, Tyler opened Janie’s House to continue his Janie’s Fund mission. There, about 30 girls at a time can be taken in to receive protection, therapy, and “get good from the inside out.”
In a post on Facebook, Tyler makes it clear that through his efforts, he’s not here just to help young girls but to “radicalize the system.”
