TY TABOR (KINGS X) Alien Beans - Album Review
Ty Tabor is a founding member of King’s X. "Aliean Beans" goes in a bit of a different direction musically, although you can still hear that familiar tone on some of the tracks. The guitar playing is very much on point and amazing throughout the entirety of this album and you would expect no less. This album has quite a few stand out tracks some of my favorites are listed below.
“Somebody lied”
Somebody lied has a bit of a different feel to it, a little funky, but you can’t help but get into it. Filled with really catchy lyrics and great guitar.
“Deeper Place”
Deeper place slows things down a bit and Ty really shows his songwriting and singing ability. This has a Kings X feel more than others. A really solid song.
“Ride”
Ride is an uptempo rocker really feels like a summer anthem. One that you could put the top down and just...ride
“Money mouth”
From the opening guitar lick I was hooked. Crunchy guitar throughout..until the solo...AMAZING!!
At the end of the day this is a VERY strong album. Loaded with great, well crafted, well written songs. If you are a fan of Kings X you should absolutely listen to this over and over and over. If you are a fan of guitar rock? You should crank this up. Top notch album.
