SNAKECHARMER: Second Skin

Snakecharmer was originally founded in 2011 by former Whitesnake members Micky Moody and Neil Murray along with Laurie Wisefield (Wishbone Ash), Harry James (Thunder, Magnum), Adam Wakeman (Ozzy Osbourne), and Chris Ousey (Heartland). The band’s debut self-titled album was released in 2013 and musically the record was a straight forward hard rocking, blues based affair , akin to Whitesnake (1979-81 era) . In 2016, Moody left the band and was replaced by the Simon McBride on lead guitar.

This album is like a listening to a newer version of Whitesnake with a little Bad Company and Badlands thrown in for good measure. Vocally it's very reminiscent of Eric Martin ( Mr.Big ).

“Second Skin” is almost a lock to make this years top ten list! It takes you back to the days when the music was real, and you believed every word they where singing.

Trying to pick a favorite track on album this good is a hard task..“That Kind of Love” is a killer , “Follow Me Under” sounds like it could've been taken straight from any Mr.Big release, and the ballad “I’ll Take You as Your Are” is great.

In every possible way, this is a must have album!
